Based in the heart of Blaydon, Newcastle upon Tyne. In 2026, we begin our journey of opening the doors to a brand-new school that promotes learning in a democratic style, supporting children from Reception up to Year Six. Liberty has an ambitious curriculum and high reaching expectations however the practical pedagogy based on learning through play, real life experiences and a child centred approach. We take the foundations and ethos from early years and extend its approach throughout the school journey. Children apply their skills through play, projects, and real-life experiences that prepare them for the future.

With just 55 children and small class sizes, every pupil is truly known, valued, and understood as a unique learner. In our nurturing and inclusive environment, children receive the personal attention of a small school, while enjoying the breadth of opportunities you would expect from a much larger one. Our pupils benefit from tailored learning, expert teaching, and rich experiences each week from Forest School and outdoor adventures to enrichment visits within the local community and beyond. Learning at Liberty School is hands-on and practical.
