Founding Families Offer
Be part of Liberty from the beginning
Liberty School is opening in 2026, bringing a new kind of progressive independent primary education to the North East.
For our opening year, we are inviting our first families to become part of the Liberty School journey from the very beginning.
The first 15 children accepting a place for the 2026/27 academic year will receive our Founding Family offer.
Founding Families Admissions Offer
For the first 15 children joining Liberty School in our opening year, we are offering:
£185 application fee waived
£1,000 Founding Family Credit towards first-year tuition fees
This offer is available to the first 15 pupils accepting a place for the 2026/27 academic year. The £1,000 credit is applied against tuition fees during the pupil’s first academic year and has no cash value.
From September 2027, the School’s standard published fees for that academic year will apply. The Founding Family Credit is an introductory first-year benefit and does not reduce the School’s published tuition fee. Tuition fees are reviewed annually, and the amount payable in a pupil’s second year may increase because the Founding Family Credit will no longer apply.

Liberty School is an independent fee-paying primary school. Our fees support the delivery of a small, ambitious and progressive school experience, with high-quality teaching, small learning groups and a rich curriculum that includes practical learning, Forest School, community experiences, enterprise and life skills.

Before You Begin
About Your Child
This registration form asks for key information to help Liberty School understand your child, their current educational experience and whether our school may be the right environment for them.
Questions About Your Child
You will be asked a few short questions about your child’s interests, strengths, what they enjoy at school and at home, the type of school experience you are looking for, and anything your child currently finds particularly difficult in education.
Documents to Have Ready
You will also be asked to upload:
Latest school or nursery report
Current EHCP, if applicable
Recent assessment or specialist report, if applicable
Please have this information and any relevant documents ready before you begin. This will help you complete the form smoothly and give our senior leadership team the information they need to review your child’s registration.
Admissions for children with EHCPs
Liberty School is not a specialist SEND school, but it can consider applications from children with an Education, Health and Care Plan. EHCP places are limited, and each application must be reviewed carefully.
Before confirming whether Liberty School could meet a child’s needs, our team would need to:
Review the current EHCP.
We would look carefully at the plan to understand your child’s identified needs, outcomes and required provision.
Review the current EHCP.
We would look carefully at the plan to understand your child’s identified needs, outcomes and required provision.
Consider whether Liberty School can meet those needs.
We would assess whether our school can safely, reasonably and appropriately deliver the support required.
Respond to Local Authority consultation where needed.
Where the Local Authority consults with Liberty School, we would provide a clear response about whether we believe we can meet your child’s needs.
If your child already has an EHCP, or an assessment is currently taking place, families should complete the dedicated EHCP contact form so the right member of the team can review the information and discuss next steps.
Admissions Policy
Liberty School’s Admissions Policy sets out the formal process for applying for a place at the school. It explains who the school is for, how applications are considered, what information families need to provide, and how decisions are made.
As a small independent school with a maximum capacity of 55 pupils, places at Liberty School are limited. Admission is based on whether the school believes a child is well suited to its ethos, curriculum and learning environment. Liberty School is designed for children who can engage with an ambitious, practical and discussion-rich curriculum, and who are likely to thrive in a small, progressive school community.
The policy also explains how Liberty School considers applications from children with identified needs. Liberty School is not a specialist SEND school, but we will consider applications from children with additional needs, including dyslexia and neurodivergent profiles, where we believe the school can reasonably and safely meet those needs within our staffing, resources and environment.
Families are encouraged to read the full Admissions Policy before registering their child. This helps ensure that the school’s expectations, decision-making process, registration requirements, suitability assessment, offer process, waiting list arrangements and withdrawal of offer conditions are clear from the beginning.

Our Admissions Promise
At Liberty School, our admissions process is designed to be clear, honest and supportive. We want families to understand our school, our approach and whether Liberty could be the right environment for their child before making a formal decision.
As a new school, we are excited to work closely with our first families. Founding Families will be part of the beginning of Liberty School, helping us build a strong, thoughtful and ambitious school community through feedback, communication and partnership.
Our promise is to take time to understand each child, answer your questions clearly and guide you through the next step with care. A place at Liberty School will only be offered where we believe a child can thrive within our progressive, practical and ambitious learning environment.
